Nellie Congdon is an artist raised outside of Providence, Rhode Island. She earned her Bachelors of Fine Arts in 2019 at Cornell University in the College of Architecture, Art and Planning. She currently resides in Memphis, Tennessee. In August, she will be starting the Post-Baccalaureate program in Studio Art at Brandeis Unviersity.

Her images of the female form are both realistic and abstract, color-shape distillations of the figure in social constraints. Representations of the body in art history inform a contemporary character vision, anxiously waiting for and demanding attention.
